Inspirational Messages from a South African Business

A loyal reader shared with me the story of a gas station in South Africa that has a sign out front where the owner displays motivational messages. These messages attract the attention of their customers and passersby due to their creativity and provocativeness. I really liked a few of their signs so I thought I would share them with you this week.

“Why do we only rest in peace? Why don’t we live in peace too?”

These are good questions to ask ourselves. So this week, try to make time for the things that give you peace. Take a walk outside, go for a bike ride, spend time with your family. Whatever it is that helps you find peace, make time for it this week. Don’t wait until you have to rest in peace, live in peace right now!

“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”

All of us have the ability to be kind. It is an opportunity that is open to all! Commit to just one random act of kindness this week. Share your peace with others through your kindness.

“Be who you needed when you were younger.”

This is a reminder that most of us had someone, or some people, in our lives who encouraged us and supported us when we needed it. As we grow older, do we pay that forward? Do we make the time to support and encourage others who need our help? Sometimes we get so busy, it is difficult to give our time to others. But when we think about the support we needed when we were younger, it may help us prioritize being there for others.

So this week, try to engage in some things that bring you peace, share your kindness with others, and make time for someone who needs encouragement and support. I guarantee this will be a GREAT week!

Thanks for reading,
